At my brother’s high school graduation, he prepared a speech in which he was going to thank all the “little people.” He said he was thinking of me. It is true, we are only where we are because of others.
We may think we can go through life not needing anyone else, but we would just be fooling ourselves. Among the many warnings God gave to Moses was this: Do not say, “My power and the might of my own have gotten me this wealth.” With any accomplishment, the credit goes to a multitude of people.
Author Robert Fulghum observed that most books have a list of credits at the beginning, thanking the people who made the book possible. The book would not have come together without them. Do you have a “credits list” for the story of your life, people you can thank for helping you be the person you are?
